Company History
Beech Construction was begun in Chatom, Alabama in the early 60s as a one-man operation.
Mr. James Donald Beech was known for exceptional residential building. Known by all as Jim, he soon taught his three sons, Lawrence, Judd, and Adam, the building business. For numerous years, the four men worked together to bring exceptional quality, integrity, and reliability to the building business. After Jim’s death, the company incorporated (1993) and is now Beech Construction, Inc.
Judd and Adam have since resigned from Beech Construction, Inc. and pursued other careers.
Since Lawrence took full reign of the company, Beech Construction, Inc. has become strictly a commercial general contracting business licensed in Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, and Louisiana. The office has also relocated to Purvis, Mississippi.
Beech Construction, Inc. is a family owned and operated business; but it is by no means a ‘mom and pop’ business. A year after graduating from University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in construction engineering, son Joshua returned from Houston, Texas and joined Beech Construction, Inc. Daughter, Katherine, also joined the company after graduating from University of Alabama with a degree in psychology and business.
Beech Construction, Inc. continues to serve the Southeastern United States as dependable, quality builders.
